About the Event
Wassail Walks: from December 13th through to Jan 6th (Twelfth Night)
All dates between 26th of December and January 6th are available for any group of 4 persons or more. Group rates available.
Join us as we recreate the wonderful Christmas tradition of Wassailing, on the sites it was once celebrated by the Kings of England. Bring family and Yuletide visitors for a special holiday experience of sharing the Wassail bowl filled with hot lambswool.
Waking the apple trees with bells and bygone chants where the Royal Palace orchards once stood.
We’ll walk the ancient streets of Geddington, singing Christmas carols and be rewarded with figgy puddings.
We will be a'wassailing each weekend from mid-December into January but if you have a group of 6 or more we will gladly book a date and time at your convenience. Email your request or any questions to the contacts below or email toursbykam@gmail.com
Your tour guide
Kam Caddell has been leading acclaimed historical walks, podcasts and lectures on Geddington and the surrounding villages for over a decade. Rated five stars by TripAdvisor and Yelp, almost a regular on BBC Northampton, he has brought history to life for thousands over the years.
Practicalities
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Some of the walk may be muddy. Please wear suitable footware and rainwear if the weather's inclement. Do bring a torch.
Everything else will be providied.
We will start at the corner of Bright Trees Road and Wood Street, at the entrance to Geddington Chase and the Brickyard Garden.
Price
£10 for adults, £5 for children between 10 and 17.
