ABOUT YOUR TOUR GUIDE, KAM CADDELL

Kam Caddell first began giving tours at the World’s Fair site 'Man and His World' in Montreal at the age of 11. Growing up with a family which revelled in the past, it isn't surprising he went to university for a degree in history -  which he even taught briefly, before moving to England to be with his British wife.

For the past decade he has given many thousands of people acclaimed and popular tours of his beautiful and fascinating village, Geddington, and the surrounding area.

All tours are insured and Kam has an NVQ 3 in care with multiple certificates for

care of vulnerable children and adults.

If you do nothing else in Northamptonshire, visit Geddington church one afternoon and hope that volunteer guide Kam Caddell is on duty. If he is, let him take you on a tour that is part history lesson, part detective story, part stand-up comedy, part conspiracy theory. This man brings the ages alive, from pagan times to the Victorian era, via tales of the many monarchs who walked and worshipped here

We were passing through with a just so happen to stop moment to look at the Eleanor Cross when we stumbled across Kam, a passionate local oracle and historian, with a wealth of knowledge on the local area, the Church of Mary Magdalene, and English history. A wonderful and fascinating tour of quite possibly the most interesting and confusing church, both inside and out. A two minute stop off turned into two hours. Should be an essential school trip guide and part of the curriculum. Well worth an afternoon trip.

We stumbled across this church while visiting the Eleanor Cross and wow - what an amazing surprise! We were so fortunate that Kam was giving a tour at the time as his knowledge and passion enabled us to understand just how historically important the church is, as well as Geddington itself, I research our trips extensively and can't understand why this noteworthy church isn't mentioned in the many different resources I use.

Thank you so much for your brilliant tour around Geddington Church and all its history.  You really made the events and people come to life in such a way that we will remember much more than we usually do on such visits.  We will certainly want to return to learn more about the village.  Once again - many thanks - we really enjoyed ourselves.

Kam, we wanted to thank you for the time you took on your tour of the church today, Rarely has it been my privilege to have an overview from someone who has the depth of knowledge you exhibited. Rarer still is to have this combined with the ability to communicate so well with such enthusiasm. I learned much today and it will inspire me to research further into this

I would like to express the sincere thanks of the  Group for the excellent tour you gave us of the Eleanor Cross, the Church and the Village of Geddington. None of us realised what a wealth of history you have in the area. The depth of knowledge you have on the subject is extraordinary which includes the social history as well as the dates, which I find extremely interesting.

We came to your Ghost Walk on Friday and I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful evening! It was so entertaining, but we also learnt so much history too! My seven year old son, Noah, has NOT stopped talking about it! He loved every minute and has been retelling the ghost stories to anyone who would listen! I just had to let you know that we went to the circus yesterday. Afterwards we were all talking about which part of the circus we enjoyed the most. Noah had been very quiet and not joining in the conversation. I had seen how much he enjoyed the circus whilst we were there, so turned to him and said, "Which was your favourite part?" He replied, "Well, actually I prefered the ghost walk. It was much better than the circus!" So, there you go, you are much better than the circus! Feel free to use that in any promotional material! Thank you again for such a memorable evening. We will definitely be in contact to arrange a church tour so we will see you soon.
