About the Event
Queen Eleanor Service Commemoration
A talk at the Eleanor Cross about the historic Cortège which transported the body of Queen Eleanor to Geddington, held on the actual date her cortege originally passed through. Those interested may attend the only surviving service for her ‘and those that would otherwise not receive prayers', as Edward I requested - held in the same church her body rested in overnight.
