These are important causes and to give people an alternate way to support them, I will be wearing a pedometer throughout the walks and asking people to donate a specific amount of money per mile. All money will go directly to the charities listed and an accounting will be sent to each person who contributes. Each walk is approximately 2 miles. I hope to do at least 3 walks.
​How much should I pledge?
Anything from25p per mile to a pound or more. Or better yet, ask others to sponsor as well. Many hands make large contributions.
Where will my money go?
All money for the sponsoring will go to our local foodbanks once all of the walks are concluded on the 3rd of September 2022 directly from you to them through their Paypal account. If paypal is not possible , cash and cheques payable to The Shack will be accepted.
How will my sponsorship make a difference?
Volunteer-led organisations like The Shack help to make sure there is a basic safety net for everyone who may fall through the cracks.
